Check how much glyphosate goes into your body

The agricultural poison glyphosate is found in many products that we eat every day. And while glyphosate is associated with a growing group of people who develop Parkinson's . In addition, it can also cause other forms of brain damage, can give you certain forms of cancer and is the death knell for our biodiversity.

In November 2023, thanks to the agricultural lobby, the European Union allowed this poison to be available in the European market again for 10 years. That's why we offer you a urine test so you can see for yourself how much of this poison you have in your body. And we tell you that by buying organic products you can drastically reduce this poison.

How fresh it is
your piss?

Recent studies show that glyphosate residues in the human body can be prevented. Together with Carice and Anne-Marie we want to help you become aware of what is happening in your body.

Order your test

Take the glyphosate test

For only €59, Mijnlabtest offers the option to request a urine test. After ordering, you will receive a specially designed test kit at home, with which you can easily collect and send a urine sample. This sample is then analyzed for the presence of glyphosate. The results of the test will be sent to you discreetly by post. Have you been shocked by poison in your body? We recommend eating organic for 2 weeks and then trying it again!

Anonymized results

The first anonymized results have been received. What is striking is that everyone has glyphosate in their system and falls above the detection value of 0.6 ng/ml. It also appears that women score lower on average than men and that older people also have less glyphosate in their system. Please note, there are many variables that can influence the glyphosate level. This is therefore not a scientific study but only an update of the state of affairs regarding the National Piskijker. We consciously stay away from scientific statements, but want to demonstrate with the National Piskijker that glyphosate is present everywhere and can be found in (almost) everyone's body.

The EFSA states that glyphosate is safe. How does this relate to your message?

Despite the EFSA statement, there are independent studies that question this conclusion. We encourage everyone to inform themselves widely and exercise caution.

How reliable is this glyphosate test?

Our test uses advanced technology and is carried out by accredited laboratories, which guarantees reliability. My Labtest is also the main provider for testing at hospitals and therapists.

How can I perform the test myself?

After requesting, you will receive the test by post. You will find clear instructions in the package. You first register yourself and the test code (found on the box) on the My Labtest platform. Then, in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach, collect urine in the attached tubes. Send this in the envelope provided to the My Labtest reply number. The analysis takes place in Germany and you will receive the results within two weeks.

How can I reduce glyphosate levels in my body?

The best approach is to choose organic food.

How does glyphosate get into our food and bodies?

Glyphosate is used as a herbicide in agriculture. Residues can remain on crops and end up in our food and bodies.

How can I be sure that what I buy is really organic?

'Organic' is protected by law. In the Netherlands you can look for quality marks such as “EKO” or the European organic logo. These guarantee that the product meets organic standards.

I have high levels of glyphosate in my system. Is this a concern?

Although the exact effects of glyphosate are still being researched, it is advisable to aim for lower levels. Organic foods can help reduce the amount of pesticides in your body.

Is organic food better for the environment?

Yes, organic farming has several environmental benefits such as less soil erosion, increased soil fertility and lower CO2 emissions.

Should I consult a doctor if glyphosate levels are high?

A single high reading is not immediately alarming, but a specialist can offer specific advice. However, we recommend that you start consuming more organic foods.

What do you mean by a 'reference value'?

The reference value shows the average amount of glyphosate in a population, with which you can compare your results. It does not directly indicate whether the value is 'good' or 'bad'.

What does 'organic' mean in the context of food?

Organic food is produced without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, GMOs, antibiotics or growth hormones. It stands for conservation of soil, water and less pollution. Of almost 1000 E numbers, only 48 are permitted in organic products, and these are only natural substances.

What are the health benefits of organic food?

Organic products contain fewer pesticides, antibiotics and hormones. Studies show that they also contain more certain nutrients, which contributes to taste and health. Interestingly, the soil microbiome has been linked to the human microbiome.

Who performs the glyphosate test?

The test is carried out by the specialized laboratory “Mijn Labtest” in collaboration with the “Robin Food Coalition”.

Who is behind this initiative?

This is a collaboration between the Robin Food Coalition, a coalition of 80 SME organic companies, concerned citizens, various NGOs and scientists who strive for a healthier and more sustainable food system.

Are there alternatives to glyphosate in agriculture?

Yes, there are alternatives such as biological and mechanical methods and other herbicides that are considered less harmful. To be on the safe side, organic food is the best choice.

Are there studies on the effects of glyphosate on humans?

Yes, several studies have been done. In France, for example, Parkinson's is considered an occupational disease linked to exposure to pesticides, including glyphosate.

Are children more sensitive to glyphosate than adults?

Children may be more sensitive to chemicals, including pesticides, due to their development. The exact risk of glyphosate to children is still under investigation, but it is advisable to minimize exposure.
